Nokia has declared that its Lumia 710 will be introduced to the US for just GBP 32.25 on T-Mobile on 11th January the coming year.

This new mobile phone run on the Windows Phone 7 platform was initially announced at Nokia World in the UK in October and guarantees that it would bring the Windows Phone 7 to the people at competitive rates especially as Microsoft and Nokia are planning to compete with a wide range of Android smartphones and iPhones from Apple.

Nokia anticipates that this new Lumia 710 will be appreciated by the 150 million people in the US who have yet to be owners of a Smartphone. The Nokia Lumia 710 will be compatible with the T-Mobile 4G network.

The Nokia Lumia 710 will, like the Lumia 800 available in the UK, be fitted with a Nokia drive and Nokia Maps, however US centred applications like Netflix and T-Mobile TV along with mobile HD will also be made available.

On the day of the launch of the phone, Cole Brodman, Chief Marketing Officer of T-Mobile USA informed that their studies revealed that practically all people in the United States wished to own smartphones, but a lot of them felt that they could not afford to but one. The Nokia Lumia 710, he hoped would be their first Smartphone experience and also the comeback of Nokia into the US market.

Nokia has decided to re-enter the US market with an entry-level phone rather than a pilot gadget as it had done in the UK with their Lumia 800.

The Nokia Lumia 710 is available in black or white and sports a ClearBlack 3.7 inch WVGA scratch-resistant screen for excellent viewing out of doors and is also powered with a 1.4 GHz Qualcomm Snapdragon processor. It also comes fitted with a 5MP camera and is anticipated to be availed of at T-Mobile from the 11th of January in 2012.
