A survey was conducted recently by the Mobile Youth Consultancy to see which mobile phone is most popular among youth in the UK. 1000 university students were consulted for the survey and Financial Times reports that, majority of them preferred Nokia mobile handsets.

In the survey conducted, Nokia ranked first, followed by Sony Ericsson and then Blackberry. The results were as follows - Nokia bagged 30% of the preference percentage, Sony Ericsson got 27% and Blackberry got 2% of the share.

Perhaps Nokia's rugged yet stylish handsets, which pack in loads of multimedia features and yet come for affordable prices are what attract the youth. The XpressMusic series and other classic handsets offer a budget-friendly solution especially to the young crowd.
