Nokia's next mobile platform venture, the Symbian^4 had its screen shots leaked on the web. Nothing is very clear about what exactly this smartphone platform will have to offer. Work still needs to be done in some of the areas. There are some interesting aspects here though.
One aspect that really caught our eye is the "Task switcher". This seems like the "deck of cards" design of the WebOS or the active apps dock on the bottom portion of the screen of the iOS4. This might enable navigating or switching between active apps. Thus multi-tasking is speculated to be a supported feature. However, nothing confirmed yet.
The Symbian^4 is said to be a mid-range device platform. It will be the successor of Symbian^3, which is yet to be released as well. Both these Symbian OSs are supposed to be mid-range phone platforms. Nokia are reserving the MeeGo platform for their advanced smartphones.
