O2 reveals its plans to reduce international call rates
O2, the mobile service provider committed to offering value-added packages and better services to the users have announced its plans to reduce the internal call charges. With this move the firm hopes to offer cost-effective international calling solutions to its customers. Under this initiation, the call costs to international mobile phones and landline will be reduces to 1p per minute. Not only does O2 offer reduction in call rates but also it cuts down messaging costs. The new offer allows customers to send texts at 10p.

The new call rates will be applicable from 22 November onwards to existing Pay & Go customers. With O2 International Sim new customers can also benefit from the low calling rates. In some instance, the calls will be reduced from £1.50 to 1p per minute. O2 International SIM will be a new addition to Pay & Go offerings of O2.

The new international SIM will allow customers to make calls to India and China at 1p per minute, to Pakistan at 4p per minute and to USA at 2p per minute. Pay & Go customers get the international SIM free of cost. These customers can enjoy additional value offered on outgoing calls and texts in the UK as well as O2 Unlimited tariff. With £10 top-up, customers can send unlimited O2-to-O2 text messages and with a top-up of £15, customers can make unlimited O2-to-O2 calls to 22 million O2 customers.

The revised international rates will be applied automatically to the existing O2 Unlimited Pay & Go tariff. With this move the firm hopes to offer great value to loyal Pay & Go customers of O2.
