Orange to Launch HD Voice Service in the UK in 2010

orange-logoOrange, one of UK's popular mobile network providers, are reportedly going to launch the high definition voice service for mobile phones in the coming year. This service is supposed to make voice sound so clear over the mobile phone, as if speaking in the same room.

The network provider is said to have plans of doing trials with the service in the new year and later on during the year, they wish to make a nation-wide launch.

The HD voice includes a wider speech bandwidth, which is supposed to be twice the voice spectrum. It is also supposed to cancel out background noise, thus enhancing sound quality and clarity.

The catch in the situation is that inorder to take advantage of this mobile phone service, people will have to buy new mobile phones. And Orange is supposedly working with mobile phone makers for developing compatible handsets.
