The
Palm Pre 2 is soon to be launched in the
UK mainland. Release date is Friday, 12
th November, 2010. The
smartphone has been enjoying French soil for a couple of weeks. But the wait is over for UK. From 12
th November the Palm Pre 2 will be available SIM-free and loaded with the new webOS 2.0 and powered by a 1GHz processor. It has a 5MP camera, a glass screen and a slide-out keyboard. The new handset was released on SFR, the French network carrier, in October.
The
webOS platform from Hewlett Packard provides a new experience to users who wish to go multi-tasking and use interesting apps. It has JustType, HP Synergy and the Ehibition apps while on the charging dock. JustType lets the user begin tapping a message without the need to open an application. It also has Flash 10.1, Skype, TextAssist, Quickoffice mobile suit and Facebook. You can work on the UI displayed on the 3.1 inch multi-touch screen, 24-bit color HVGA display at 320×480 resolution.
Undoubtedly the
Christmas season will bring lots of
offers from various stores and carriers, but the Palm smartphone will be at present available SIM-free. The previous original Palm Pre was launched on O2 as the carrier partner. The new
webOS 2.0 too is an evolution of the previous software. So if you like
Palm mobile phone handsets and its functionality just wait a little and find a
good offer soon.
