Puma Phone UK Release Expected This Month

Puma PhoneThe Puma mobile phone, which was unveiled at the Mobile World Congress 2010 held in Barcelona, is soon expected to be released in the UK. Despite this being the sports-brand's first attempt at making a mobile phone, they have managed to capture good attention for it. First of all, this device is green, in that, it is equipped with a solar powered battery. According to Puma, the device can be powered up for 90 minutes after being left for 60 minutes in the sun. The rest of the Puma Phone specs are quite decent too.


Puma tied up with Sagem Wireless for the manufacturing of this mobile phone. It has a 2.8" touchscreen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels. There is a 3.2MP camera with LED flash on the back, plus a VGA camera for video calls in the front. An MP3 player and an FM radio are integrated within for entertainment. Bluetooth, GPS and 3G networks are supported. A microSD slot is as well present for memory expansion. Even if the Puma phone is not charged in the sun, a regular charge can deliver 5 hours of talk and 350 hours of stand-by time.


Puma have also slipped in that sporty element with a pedometer, a stopwatch, a 3D accelerometer, a digital compass, plus Puma World sports news.



Puma Phone release - The Puma Phone UK release is said to be scheduled for this month, although, the drop down menu for countries on the Puma site does not show the UK yet. The phone will reportedly come tied-up with mobile operators, details of which, Puma will be announcing soon.
Puma phone price - This mobile phone is said to cost about €399.
