Samsung Crest Solar E1107 Mobile Phone is a simple basic handset, which has solar rechargeable batteries. If you’re a techno-freak and love to own the latest technology-rich handset, then you better look elsewhere. This mobile phone does only the basics like calling and messaging. It has a 1.5” 128 x 128 pixels colour screen. However, this phone will definitely be warmly welcomed in places which are not blessed with electricity yet.
This handset supports dual band GSM and GPRS. A WAP browser is also pre-loaded into this cell phone. There is an FM radio integrated and a few games, which are perhaps the only entertainment sources in this handheld.
From all the specifications of this gadget, one can conclude that this phone has been designed for use during your adventure trips. May be mountain-climbing, or exploring ways in a jungle. There is a flashlight built into this device as well. Samsung says that this mobile phone will give about 5 to 10 minutes of talk-time if charged for about an hour!
Some of the other solar powered mobile phones that were seen earlier are the Samsung Blue Earth and Digital Coral 200 Solar phones. The Samsung Crest Solar E1107 Candybar Phone will soon be released into the market and will carry a price tag of about €50 (=£42).
