The Samsung Galaxy Y Duos Duo Boasts of Dual SIM
Samsung is known for its mysterious codes when giving names to its new mobile phones. And Does anyone know what the Y represents? Well, it's yoof, innit, or better still 'Young" as the marketing team at Sammy would opt to call it. Subsequent to the release of the 'Young' duo, which were the smartphones powered by Android 2.3, at the Berlin IFA trade show, there was the Samsung Galaxy Y and the Galaxy Y Pro, now enters the new duo in the Y series; the Samsung Galaxy Y Duos and the Samsung Galaxy Y Pro Duos.

As people would rightly guess the 'duos' here stand for the dual SIM, and that's what the talk is all about.

Very Akin to the other devices in the Y series, the Samsung Galaxy Y Duos boast of a 3-inch QVGA (320x240) TFT LCD screen powered by a 832 MHz processor that has the Android 2.3 interface. As per Samsung's naming codes, Pro stands for keyboard, and the Samsung's Galaxy Y Pro Duos comes fitted with a QWERTY keyboard and a wee bit smaller screen measuring 2.6 inches.

Mobile phones with dual SIMs are ideal if there are two people who would like to share a device, and there are those who would like to use their mobile phone for both official as well as personal use, and for those who are having an affair on the side. There are other types of people who can find the use a dual SAIM phone useful, like people dealing in flesh trade and drugs. However these may not really be what Samsung had in mind when they launched the Galaxy Duos.

The two mobile phones will be released in Russia for starters and will soon reach the remainder of the European people by the start of the New Year, though nothing has been mentioned about the UK pricing as yet.
