It is being rumored that 'Samsung Galaxy S III' is likely to emerge very shortly. An image recently taken with its main camera was in the news. That is not going to put an end to the rumors. There is no doubt that Samsung has no other option but to incorporate a 3D screen for the phone.
It is doubtful whether Samsung will adapt the auto-stereoscopic 3D displays, just as HTC and LG have done. Though the technology has been around for sometime, only this year it was widely made available. However the display was not as impressive and exciting as expected. It means that the future of the 3D screen may be doubtful. If Samsung introducing a 3D display on Galaxy S III there is no doubt that the other companies may be persuaded to follow suit and 3D will become a standard for the smartphones.
There is also a chance that the 3D feature may be available only on a certain GS3 variant.
This conclusion has been drawn considering the fact that so far all the Galaxy S and Galaxy S II variants had different hardware options.
Samsung may introduce Galaxy S III at the Mobile World Congress is scheduled for the end of February.
It may be recalled that LG and HTC which introduced the 3D earlier for their phones were disappointed that the public was not impressed.
Incidentally the phone is expected to be of 1.8 GHz dual core, with 2 GB of RAM and 12 MP rear facing camera.
