The Samsung Galaxy Portal i5700 mobile phone, which has been named as the Samsung Galaxy Spica i5700 outside the UK is now available with T-Mobile for a contract.

This is an Android 1.5 powered handset with a 3.2" touchscreen. It comes with a complete set of networking options. There is WiFi, 3G ability with support for the HSDPA standard, and Bluetooth. This cell phone also offers GPS capability.

On the inside is a 180MB memory. MicroSD cards are also supported and the mobile phone package ships with a 1GB card in it.

Entertainment wise, there's a media player which plays both audio and video files of various formats. A 3.5mm headphone jack is as well present in this handheld. A 3MP camera is housed in this gadget too. The battery of this smartphone offers 5 hours of talktime.

One special feature of this mobile phone is the augmented-reality browser it sports.

The T-Mobile contract offers the handset for free with a monthly rental of £18 with some freebies. There's also something called a combi-plan which has the device coming in for £70, with T-Mobile itself. The phone is supposed to be exclusive to the carrier for the next month.
