Samsung will reportedly be releasing their new Android based tablet in the market, soon. Some call it the Samsung Galaxy Tape Tablet, while others refer to it simply as - the Samsung Galaxy Tablet. However, the official name is yet to be confirmed. Some of its specs slipped out into the open, recently. What's most striking is that they include certain features which were absented in the coveted Apple iPad.

The rumoured Samsung Galaxy Tablet Specs:-
The Galaxy Tablet will be a 7-inch AMOLED touchsceen device. The resolution offered will be 480x800 pixels, which is a standard for regular 3.5-4" touchscreen mobile phones.
It will be based on the Android 2.2 OS (Froyo). An ARM11 1GHz processor will be employed to drive the device. Memory-wise, there will be 16GB of internal memory along with a microSD card slot for expansion(no memory card slots were present in the iPad).
WiFi and GPS with Google Maps will be supported by this tablet. A 3.2MP camera will be built-in (the iPad didn't have any).
The most interesting rumoured feature of the tablet, is the support for Adobe Flash (which the iPad happily omitted). Plus, the device will also be able to make calls ( ??? a very intriguing feature for a 7" device!!! Nonetheless, it scores one more against the iPad.)
If these rumoured specificaions turn out to be true, then will the Samsung tablet give the iPad sleepless nights? Only time will tell.
Another leaked bit of information has it that, the Samsung Galaxy tablet will head to Vodafone UK soon.
