After the success of 'Nexus One' and 'Nexus S', Google was planning to release
'Nexus Prime' on 11th October. But it is not likely to happen, mainly due to the demise of Steve Jobs.
Samsung, the manufacturer of the phone, in a joint statement with Google, made it known to the public about the postponement. The fresh date and the venue will be known shortly.
It is understandable that after being so close to Steve Jobs, it is unfair n their part to launch the product next week when the funeral of the ex-Apple chief is scheduled. Further, the press will be concentrating on covering the funeral than the launch of any product.
In effect, the Android phone with the new Ice cream Sandwich operating system will surface only after sometime. It is hoped that Google will not find any technical problem with the new operating system. Otherwise there will be further delay in the launch.
