Samsung not to launch a 3D phone
The popular electronic company based in South Korea, Samsung has announced that it would not be following a recent feat of rival LG of launching a smartphone with 3D capabilities aleast in the near vicinity.

Incidently LG had announced at the Barcelona mobile world congress this week, the Optimus 3D mobile phone, its first ever 3 dimensioned mobile phone. This phone powered by Android operating system offers free glasses, the option for streaming content to Wi-Fi enabled 3D devices and 3D video playback and recording.

Nevertheless, inspite of the hype created by the mobile phone in the main stream media and tech press, Samsung that has been doing much for bringing 3D Televisions to the mass market does not plan to come up with a rival device at present.

Meanwhile Techradar was told by the product management head of Samsung mobile UK, Jim Powell that they were world leaders in the 3D segment, although they have hardly come across a need for 3D technology on mobile phones as yet for the customers in United Kingdom.

Powell added that there was a trde off between pocketability and thickness, and adding 3D technology into a mobile phone, as well. He also explained that they just did not see an exigency when it came to 3D; which would none the less interesting to watch if market well.
