Samsung Electronics is ready to launch a new smartphone incorporating the latest Android operating system on 19th October at Hong Kong.

The launch of the smartphone with 'Ice cream Sandwich' was originally scheduled for the previous week but was postponed as a mark of respect to Steve Jobs,
the Apple co-founder who passed away recently.

Samsung disclosed that the new handset, whose name is not yet revealed, will be launched in concurrence with Google.

Apple and Google are fighting out in the court 20 cases in 10 countries. Interestingly Apple is the biggest customer of the Korean company for chips and displays.

A judge in the US remarked that the Galaxy tablets of Samsung had violated the iPad patents of Apple. But Apple was not able to prove it.

Meanwhile, Apple's new phone 'iPhone 4S' surfaced throughout the world on 7th October.
