Samsung's Galaxy Wi-Fi 3.6 To Be Released In the UK in November
Last month there was a preview of Samsung's Galaxy that very much resembled the iPod touch. This Galaxy S Wi-Fi 3.6 model with the Android operating system did not have a cellular radio and was utilizing just Wi-Fi connectivity to access the Internet. Samsung is now planning to launch the mobile phone with a bigger five inch edition.

This new model will be called the Galaxy Wi-Fi 3.6 without the "S" and the pair will now be called the Galaxy Wi-Fi 3.6 and the Galaxy Wi-Fi 5.0. It is very clear that like the iPod touch the Samsung pair will be able to do much more than just media playback, but Samsung is increasing the quality of the pairs' sound effects which will include the "SoundAlive" application that will stand in for an instantaneous live EQ. Both the Galaxy Wi-Fi-s are said to be packed with 1GHz Texas Instruments processors and are powered by the Android Gingerbread. The only variation between the two smartphones will be their size and a person can buy one that will suit the size of their pocket or opt for the model that is bigger.

The Galaxy Wi-Fi 5.0 has already been released in the UK and the other of the pair will be launched the coming month. The cost of an 8GB 5.0 handset will begin at approximately GBP 192 and will cost GBP 217 for a 16GB. The Wi-Fi 3.6 will be priced lower at GBP 147 for an 8GB and GBP 164 for a 16GB.
