
It is reported that the government of the United Kingdom could be planning on allowing teachers in England schools to not only search the students for mobile phones, but also to examining the content of the pupils' mobile phones.
The content of the fresh Education Bill seem to have been designed to tackle internet bullying. However the prominent union for the teachers NASUWT has expressed its concern that it would spark a dispute between teachers and students and their parents.
On the other hand it has been insisted by the government that the freshly proposed measures in the bill would stand to assert the teachers' authority, besides allowing them to deals with issues in school more effectively.
It is noteworthy that different policies have been developed by schools on the mobile phone use of the pupils. While attempting to confiscate the mobile phones of the students many teachers have faced challenge from students as well as their parents.
Meanwhile the Education Bill of England will be endowing the teachers with a legal right to search the students and confiscate their mobile phones.
