
A mobile with the longest GPS tracking time has been introduced by Sonim Technologies.
Better known as 'XP 3340 Sentinel', the phone will suit the security guards, traffic wardens, facility managing staffs etc. The purpose of the phone is to ensure the safety of the remote workers in dangerous or unavoidable circumstances.
The phones will be sold by Trackphone, SitexOrbis, Peoplesafe etc in the UK. Globally it will be available through providers of lone worker solutions and monitoring services.
The battery lasts for a 16 hour shift even when GPS tracking is done every two minutes, with Bluetooth on and with five hours of talk time.
GPS tracking can continue for 29 hours. The calls can be made even at the worst conditions with the help of a powerful antenna, an efficient microphone and audio system with a 23 mm speaker, which is protected with a GORE protective vent.
Red, amber and green are the colours used for the risk management buttons of the phone. There is no need for menu selection by the user.
Sanjay Jhawar of Sonim Technolgies remarked that during the precvious18 months the phone was put to test in extreme conditions by the customers and found to be satisfactory. As a result, thousands are using the phone and getting protected.
