Embattled mobile phone manufacturer Sony Ericsson has announced its new expectation in the form of Sony Ericsson Satio Mobile Phone (Idou) that is a combination of high-end imagery and Walkman, according to the maker. The smartphone projected as an iPhone killer (or another iPhone killer) is apparently the flagship model of Sony Ericsson that it expects to save them from the not-so-friendly financial situation.

The Satio, which is expected to play the giant killer by toppling the Apple iPhone from its touchscreen forte by the makers, offers a touch-screen keyboard, apart from free access to many Hollywood movies. The smartphone that holds remarkable music capabilities is also expected to feature a number of applications suiting websites such as Facebook and YouTube.

The Satio that was previously called Idou, according to the vice president of marketing at Sony Ericsson, Steve Walker was the device taking all the things acquired by the firm and a big step taken even beyond that. It is also worth mentioning here the fact that Sony Ericsson had posted a loss of GBP293 million in the year's first quarter when the worldwide sales of the mobile phones had fell by 8.6 percent.

However, one can see a great amount of hope in the faces of the briefing Sony Ericsson spokesmen when the subject was Satio. On the other hand, it is something for close watching whether Satio can kill the New App Store fortification of iPhone with a team led by by a 12.1MP camera. If Sony Ericsson does not waste much time to realise that a smartphone is rated by the people by its communication and connectivity aspects, it can obviously take the fight to the iPhone camp.
