Sony Ericsson has already introduced its Xperia Play PlayStation smartphone in the mobile markets across the world, which include Germany, United Kingdom, Hong Kong, Russia and Taiwan. About sixty hot games have been included by this gadget.
According to Sony Ericsson, the games included are Assassins Creed Altair's Chronicles High Definition, N.O.V.A.2, Need for Speed and Splinter Cell of Tom Clancy. The Xperia Play brings together classic PlayStation titles, 3D efforts that enhance the graphical capabilities of PlayStation and popular casual games.
All these games are downloadable through the Xperia Play Launcher app that can be activated by just sliding the gamepad. The user can also search for extra games titles in the Android Market store. Sony Ericsson added that it has signed deals with twenty game developers, which include Glu Mobile, Sony Computer Entertainment and Gameloft Electronic Arts with new releases.
Xperia Play would be launched by Verizon Wireless in the United States. The CTIA Wireless 2011 event that took place last month witnessed the director of the consumer solutions group of Verizon, Todd Murphy having said that the smartphone would be coming with a customised version of the V cast applications storefront of the operator that leverages games perfected for the phone.
Murphy added that whenever the consumer slides open the gadget, it will access automatically all the games loaded in the phone and sees that every thing is deep linked into the store.
