Sony Ericsson's PSP Go Smartphone Being Rumoured
Sony Ericsson PSP Go Phone - Engadget Mockup

Sony Ericsson is apparently working on a smartphone which will offer PSP-Go features. This definitely sounds like good news for gamers since it will include the Playstation capabilities.

A report from Engadget, says that this device will be a cross between the PSP Go and the Samsung Captivate. It will most probably be a landscape slider which will open out to reveal game controls rather than a QWERTY keyboard.

The features that will be inherited from Papa-PSP-Go are the D-Pad, the PSP standard and shoulder buttons and of-course, the gaming abilities. Instead of the joy stick for analog controls, this mobile phone will have a long touch pad.

From Mama Samsung Captivate, the device will inherit a large screen (may be between 3.7 and 4.1 inches) with WVGA resolution, a 5MP camera (which might change later) and other smartphone capabilities. It will also feature the Android platform (Gingerbread Android 3.0).

This Sony Ericsson PSP Go phone is said to be a handsome device, dressed in black with silver lining. This device might release some time in October. Engadget believes that this is not any random rumour and that the device will be reality.
