Stolen phones to be identified by new Police computer link
It has been reported that an extra measure of security can be counted on by the mobile phone owners in the United Kingdom, for there mobile devices has the British Police Officers have gained access to a fresh and enhanced way of tracking a stolen mobile phone.

The new link that is understood to help the police to effectively track the stolen mobile phones is one between the National Mobile Phone Register and the Police National Computer. The newly established link will open access to the NMPR to the police officers via their mobile device, while they are out on official beat.

This means that the police officers would not waste precious time at the instance of a mobile phone being stolen. This gives the force the earliest opportunity to trap the thief and hopefully hand over the device to its rightful owner.

The chief detective superintendent of the territorial Policing command of the metropolitan police, Mick McNally said that frontline police officers could for the first time obtain search results instantaneously on suspected mobile phone stealing, currently.

McNally added that the staggering stolen mobile phones figure of 50,000 per year identified and loacted across the United Kingdom would further surge with the freshly introduced PNC facility. This link sees that a vivid message is sent to mobile phone thieves that the authority can identify stolen handsets in the hands of both the theif or another person.
