
It has been reported that the surrey police is trialing a mobile phone application that would allow the people to find out the crime reports of their local police officers. It is understood that information regarding what crime was happening in their area would also be given to the people by the smartphone application.
Senior police officer Gavin Stephens said that the project was presently in the development and due for a trial in the Runnymede area in March. It would be deployed in the long term across surrey, providing the pilot ends in a successful note.
