The TetherMe app for Jailbroken iPhones allows using the iPhone as a WiFi router or a wireless router, to allow other devices like netbooks, laptops, other UK mobile phones and PCs to access the internet. A WiFi hotspot is created with the iPhone.

This app is said to work with iPhone 4, iPhone 3GS and iPhone 3G running iOS 3.x or iOS 4.x. This app can work with all carriers.

In comparison with other tethering apps like MyWi and PdaNet, TetherMe is highly wallet-friendly. It just costs $1.99 and is available at Cydia. MyWi costs $20 and PdaNet costs much more.

In-order to install this app, the iPhone has to be jailbroken. There are several software available for doing this. However, by jail-breaking the iPhone, the warranty of the device might become void.
