Samsung's latest smartphone 'Galaxy Note' is somewhat like a tablet. With a 5.3 inch display and 1200 x 800 pixel resolutions, the phone will surface in the UK stores on 17th November.

The handset is likely to be available through major networks, the names of which will be known shortly. The cost is not yet revealed.

The phone will include 'Android 2.3 Gingerbread' operating system, 1.5 GHz dual core processor, 8 MP camera etc.

The recent releases like 'HTC Titan', 'Samsung Galaxy S2', 'LG Optimus 3D' etc have display of more than 4inches, giving an indication that larger display is the customers' preference. That is probably the reason for the large screen in Galaxy Note as well.

Opinions differ. For some users screen size may be important. For some others battery life may be the criterion. Some may prefer QWERTY keyboards. What is in for the
