The Revolutionary ARM Chip To Provide High-end Power To Cheaper Mobile Phones
By utilizing the revolutionary ARM processor chip, the new inexpensive mobile phones from LG Electronics and Samsung will be able to provide the user with better performance and longer life for their batteries.

ARM a company based in the UK have put forward their Cortex A-7 processor that they claim will offer a better performance on the mobile phones in the low-cost entry level smartphones category thereby assisting more people get connected.

The company assures that the Cortex A-7 will ensure that the cheaper model smartphones have more or less the same level of performance of the more expensive 315 pounds high class counterparts.

ARM has signed contracts with eighteen manufacturers that include ST-Ericsson, Texas Instruments, LG and Samsung to deliver the chip in their more inexpensive mobile phones that do not have high performance or extended battery life.

It is stated that the functioning of the A-7 will be very similar to the Cortex A-8 processor that is found in practically all well known smartphones of recent times, even in Samsung's Galaxy edition. ARM states that the A-7 will be five times more energy efficient than the Cortex A-8 and will only be one-fifth its size, though it will offer considerably better performance.

The firm said that they aim at improving usage in the progressing world by assisting the next billion people to get access to the Internet and its other services via mobile mechanisms.

Mike Inglis the executive VP of ARM commented that since smartphones and tablets are developing into one of the main mechanisms for people to carry on with their work, users are expecting more from them, the main point being that they always require access to the Internet. He said that they are now faced with the challenge of providing these expectations.

He added that the launching of the Cortex A-7 takes care of the situation and offers their technology by ensuring that new standards are in place for more energy saving processors and resetting the relation between conventional power and performance.

The VP and head of the SIC Centre of LG Electronics further said that the Cortex A-7 processor will look into the high-performance and low power needs of OEMs so that consumers get the best user experience related to the innovative mobile phones and other mobile computing mechanisms.
