Company Blackberry has decided to choose a new strategy when making next-generation BBX smartphones. BBX range combining the brilliance of BlackBerry OS and QNX will be introduced next year. BBX range will also offer full touch screen interface, than a half display and half QWERTY keyboard.

As for now RIM has just a touch screen model as they were focusing on QWERTY keyboard smart phones. Now, the company hopes to launch more touch screen models in the coming year.

The very first BBX handset will boast a touchscreen only form factor. Blackberry lovers can expect more touch screen models. The resolution and aspect ration of first set of BBX handsets will be the same as the PlayBook, said Vice President of Developer Relations at RIM Alec Saunders. Tablet of RIM supports 1024×600 resolutions display and 16:9 aspect ratio. This means, an app developed foir a playbook will work well on BBX. Multiple dimension graphics upload capabilities of the BBX will also be same as the PlayBook.

The Smart phones will be designed in the same mould and this is reason why they will make more touch screen models. Next year, you will find more touch screen only models from RIM. The company will also make half keyboard and half screen models too.
