UK public trashes underground phone plans
It has been reported that the general public of the United Kingdom have rejected the GBP 50 million London underground mobile phone coverage plans of the leading Chinese technology firm, Huawei.

It is understood that over three quaters of the United Kingdom public have expressed their disapproval of the proposed plans by the Chinese mobile gadget giant.

With the whole London tube system tipped to recieve mobile phone coverage prior to the 2012 London Olympics, a reported 76 per cent of the United Kingdom population have stated that they were not happy about the deployment of such a system when asked whether they were in favour of the underground mobile coverage network.

The research carried out by a mobile phone comparison website, Good UK Mobile Phones, reveal that only 24 per cent of the polled 1094 Londers over 18 years of age said they thought that tube phone coverage was a good concept.

The main reson cited by the refuters of the concept was the increased risk of miscreants targeting display devices for thieving. 31 per cent of those responded against the system deployment cited the risk from muggers, 16 per cent were worried of an increase in monthly bill and 14 per cent were aggravated at having to hear the conversations of others.
