Vodafone, one of the five prominent mobile network operators functioning in the United Kingdom is reportedly transfering jobs to Stoke-on-Trent following its plans of closing down of the contact centres of its.

The leading mobile phone company that employs over nine hundred hands in the Potteries has been planning to shut down its base located in Wiltshire's Trowbridge, and shift two hundred jobs for staff that deal with its customers to the multi million pound Eturia Vodafone site.

It has been announced by Vodafone that it would be locally recruiting for the posts as it was unlikely that all those affected by the proposal would be wanting to move.

For Vodafone, Abi Brown said that the move was made with a view of targeting the improvement and simplification of its customer service.

Brown added that they were proposing the shifting of their two hundred customer support executive posts to their purpose built Stoke-on-Trent site from their contacts centre of Trowbridge.
