Vodafone plans to gradually stop its Vodafone 360 synchronization and cloud backup service in the next couple of months. This implies that users cannot avail of the facilities offered by Vodafone 360 from the end of December of this year, and they are cautioned to save their contact names and phone numbers someplace else. Nevertheless users can still recover their contents after the deadline date.
The Cloud 360 was a facility that was started in 2009 September on a trial basis using which they were trying to get control of personal details like what Google and Apple have been doing. This facility provided combined services for contacts, social networking, an Android shop and music.
Vodafone has begun informing customers already regarding the same. The company is ensuring that there will be as little disruption as possible by offering its users ample time to do the needful. They stated that the Music was still extremely popular and will be available even now from the site www.vodafonemusic.co.uk.
Vodafone also stated that the brand known as 360 was one that offered the taste of combined 360 services like People service with Shop, Music, Social networks and the like and that it was what they are planning to go ahead with. They felt therefore that there was no point in continuing with the brand. They claimed that they were always developing their services to ascertain that they give their customers what they required and what they expected. The company also stated that they will be coming out with a few better and improved services that will be put out soon.
This brand, the Vodafone 360 has been slowly but steadily pulled out ever since it was introduced. In July last year they had announced that they were not planning to produce any more of the Vodafone 360 handsets. They said that they were planning to concentrate fully on widening their variety of handsets and platforms that are supportive of the Vodafone 360 and also in producing and improving the series of Vodafone 360 services.
It was announced in 2010 September that Peter Knook who was the kingpin in the execution of the 360 brand would be leaving the company as a part of their attempts to restructure the organization.
