The Vodafone Secure Remote Access solution v2.8 has been certified as capable of protecting the network by CESG; making Vodafone the first mobile network operator in the UK to be awarded the CCTM (CESG Claims Tested Mark) certificate.

The public sector organisations of the UK, including the local authorities, the NHS, Central Government, Ministry of Defence, policing, education and criminal justice can be assured that the Vodafone Secure Remote Access v2.8 solution has undergone assurance testing by CESG. The network can be trusted to shield their data, network and other devices, including mobile phones which use this data. Apart from keeping data secure, this solution also ensures that all security policies are thoroughly followed by employees, even during remote access.

The Vodafone Secure Remote Access v2.8 solution was put to test in accordance with the CCTM process, to check if the Security Policy, Application Control and Connectivity Control, are as per what Vodafone claims them to be.

The CCTM is a government quality mark which is awarded on successful testing of the security functionality of the product that the vendor claims.
