Samsung have announced their first watch mobile phone, the S9110, which is claimed to be the thinnest watch phone seen so far. It measures just 11.98mm in thickness. Samsung have struck when the iron is hot, as
LG's GD910 Watch Mobile Phone is just about to go on sale next month.
Samsung S9110 Watch Phone will offer Bluetooth, speech recognition, email/SMS/MMS exchange, MP3 ringtones, vibration alert and organiser tools. A 1.76" touchscreen with a scratch resistant glass will also be featured. Stainless steel will be used for the construction and leather straps will be provided too.
This watch phone however lacks
3G and video calling which are offered by the LG GD910, which also supports the features mentioned above. Samsung's watch phone however offers a slightly larger
touchscreen, a thinner case and a much much lower price tag than the LG watch phone (which costs £1000).
Samsung will be releasing their Watch
Mobile Phone into the France market very soon for a price of about €450 (~£387). Other markets can expect this gadget in the coming months.
