
It has been perceived by an analyst firm that by the year 2015 the Windows Phone platform of Microsoft would be having the second largest chunk of the smartphone market ahead of the i OS platform of Apple.
This prediction made by one of the leading analyst agency based in the United Kingdom, IDC that the mobile platform of Microsoft would only be second to the Android in the global market is based on an announcement from Nokia that it would be doing away with Symbian and embracing Windows Phone 7.
The senior research analyst at the Mobile Devices Technology and Trends arm of IDC, Ramon Llamas said that until last year's Microsoft has regularly lost market share, at a time when the rest of the operating and impressive experience.
Llamas added that the fresh alliance tend to bring together the hardware capabilities of Nokia and the differentiated platform of Windows Phone.
Llamas also said that they expected the launch of the first devices in 2012 and Windows Phone to emerge as the number two operating system across the world behind Android by 2015.
