Sony Ericsson is expected to release the latest 'Android 2.3.4 Gingerbread' updates for its Xperia phones from October this year. But the update seems to be on the way already.

The initial plan was that update would start with 'Xperia Neo'. But apart from Xperia Neo, 'Xperia Play' and 'Xperia Arc' are also getting the updates. Nothing is known in the case of 'Xperia Pro'.

The update has excellent features, like Swype or virtual keyboard, 3D Panorama software, using which 3D pictures can be taken with the existing 2D cameras etc.

The screenshots can be easily taken. The inclusion of the user interface 'Facebook inside Xperia' enables embedding of social networking tools to the Android Operating system.

Video chatting is possible using 'Google Talk'. Some minor things like the latest animations, automatic adjustment of the brightness of the screen, playlist control etc is also included.
