ZTE prefers Android to Windows
It is understood that low market demand has driven the popular Chinese handset manufacturer, ZTE to ditch the Windows operating system of Microsoft for its products and switching on to the Google's Android.

Wu Sa ZTE's UK director for mobile device operations claimed that they have been trying out tests with the Windows Phone 7 mobile phones. He said that they did not have any immediate plans to launch the product and for the time being would like to stick on to  Android.

Sa however commented that the Microsoft is more likely to put efforts to respond better to the market requirements in terms of cost and user experience. He said that if there was a market demand for Microsoft platform the company would consider the latest platform designed by Microsoft on its handsets.

Sa added that they maintained active R and D plans on the platform product,Windows Phone 7, and their expediting the process very much depended on the intensity of the market demand.

On the other hand, Nokia had introduced in 2011 February, a software tie up with Microsoft and said that the firm would be adopting for its devices, Windows Phone software. However, a few days after making the announcement the chairman of the company said that their Windows phones would be on stores by only 2012.
