Zynga one of the popular developers of social games has reportedly acquired Wonderland Software, the maker of mobile phone games based in the United Kingdom.

Nevertheless, Zynga hardly deigned to reveal the financial details regarding the acquisition of the Wonderland Software. As a matter of fact, the company seems to be planning to engage the mobile phone gaming expertice of Wonderland with a view to offer an increased number of games on tablet computers and smartphones.

Zynga that had made it big following the roll out of its games City Ville, Mafia Wars and Farm Ville had become an istant hit on Facebook with its many games. The company has been furthering its reach through not-so important acquisitions at the rate of almost one a month.

This acquisition is expected to let the firm extend its already substantial customer base by providing an increased number of games for more platforms.

Zynga is believed to be renaming the Wonderland Software based in Guildford as Zynga Mobile UK. It is interesting that currently the firm is in hot pursuit of GodFinger, the popular iPad and iPhone game.
