Rumours have filled the air about a new T-Mobile Android phone. It is supposed to be called the MyTouch 3G in the US and G1 Touch in the UK. Recently at CommunicAsia, Huawei introduced the new Huawei U8230 Android Mobile Phone which will run on the T-Mobile network. Hence fingers point at this phone to be the rumoured G1 Touch. However, nothing is confirmed yet. Some rumours also indicate that the next T-Mobile Android phone will be from HTC. HTC Magic was the first Android powered phone from the company. There was a report of a 2nd Android handset called the HTC Hero too.
The Huawei U8230 mobile phone has a 3.5” full LED backlit LCD touchscreen with HVGA resolution. It will feature the Android v1.5 OS. A 3.2 Megapixel camera is also sported, which has auto-focus but no flash. A 2.5mm headphone jack is integrated into this device as well. Memory expansion option is offered with the microSD card of this gadget. 3G capability will be offered for high speed internet access. The juiciest feature of this gadget is supposed to be its battery life, which is claimed to be the longest among Android smartphones till date. Other features known till now seem to be quite ordinary; nothing jaw-droppingly interesting.
Other Android phones that debuted this year are the Samsung i7500 and Archos Android Phone. The Huawei U8230 Touchscreen Smartphone is expected to hit markets by the end of the 3rd quarter of this year. Pricing details are still a mystery. Let’s wait for all rumour-dusts to settle, to get a clearer picture.
