Motorola A3000 Smartphone Mobile Phone was commonly called Atila, during the initial rumour period. It is supposed to be an all touch-screen mobile phone, which can be operated with a stylus. This is Motorola's first venture in the all touch-screen smartphone zone. This phone is expected to run on the Windows Mobile 6.1 Professional operating system.
There is information that the TFT screen of this smartphone measures 2.8 inches diagonally, a resolution of 320 × 240 pixels and will display 260,000 colours. The entire device will measure 109mm by 80mm by 13.7mm. A Qualcomm MSM7201A processor with a speed of 528MHz will be taking care of internal processing of this smartphone. The RAM is supposed to have a capacity of 128MB and the ROM is expected to have a storage space of 256MB. There will also be a memory expansion provision to extend the memory up to 32GB. Networking capabilities are supposed to include GSM/GPRS/EDGE and UMTS/HSDPA connectivity. This phone is expected to support stereo Bluetooth as well. USB transfer of data will be supported too. A 3.2 Megapixel camera with autofocus and LED Flash will also be featured in this Windows mobile phone.
This phone has been seen on the net flaunting an eye-catching black and shiny attire. The edges are rounded and there are buttons beneath the screen for answering and ending calls. It however, might be given a different model number in the European countries. For the time being let's stick with Motorola A3000. Motorola A3000 2.8” Touchscreen Windows Mobile Phone, might feature in the Mobile World Congress to be held in Barcelona from the 16 to the 19 of February, 2009. Every one's waiting!
