Motorola Aura Mobile Phone

Who said that mobile phones should be like they usually do, with a keypad, a screen and a look which says, "Hey! I strictly mean business only." Sticking a foot out of the conventional line is the Motorola Aura Circular Display Mobile Phone, which is a unique combination of watches that make a luxury statement and handcrafted designs that are nifty. No wonder Motorola call it "Return of Artistry". They seem justified too. This mobile phone features a swivel form factor and a circular screen. This screen is protected by a scratch resistant lens made of 62 carat sapphire crystal. This material is supposed to be the most scratch proof material on earth. The LCD display offers a resolution of 480 pixels with 300dpi for achieving crisp and sharp images. This screen measures 1.55" in diameter. The body of the cell phone is made up of stainless steel with designs chemically etched on it. Motorola claim that the etching and polishing take 2 weeks to complete. A Swiss made bearing has been utilised to enable smooth rotation of the panels. 130 other ball bearings ensure that the opening of the swivel phone happens with great fluidity. The exposed screws between the panels are coated with nickel chrome. A PVD coating gives the phone its lustre. The keypad is made of aluminium.

This phone features the CrystalTalk technology which ensures that the conversation on the phone is clear even in noisy environments. There is a spacious 2GB user memory as well. On the connectivity front, this hand-set supports stereo bluetooth, EDR, A2DP and high speed USB 2.0. This device also comes pre-loaded with the 'Open Source' browser. Quad band GSM, GPRS and EDGE are supported too. A 2 Megapixel camera with fix focus is present as well in this watch phone. Videos can also be shot with it. A music player which supports formats like MP3, WAV, AAC, AAC+, AAC+ Enhanced, MIDI, WMA v9 and WMA v10 is built into this richly designed phone as well. The battery that provides power to this unit gives a talktime of about 7 hours and a stand-by time of 400 hours. The entire set measures 47.60mm by 96.87mm by 18.55mm and weighs 141g. The Motorola Aura 2 Megapixel Camera Mobile Phone is sturdy and well built. It does have the charming looks too. However, people might find it a little inconvenient to use considering the circular display and it carries a very heavy price tag too.
