The Motorola Milestone and Acer A1 Liquid smartphones are all set to celebrate Christmas 2009 in the UK. They are both Android powered handsets and ship with all the goodies that come with the Google OS.
The Motorola Milestone is known as the Motorola Droid in the US. It has already hit stores there and is supposed to be tough competition for the Apple iPhone. Equipped with some killer features like the MOTOBLUR (which lets you manage contacts, conversations and social life better), 3G, WiFi, Bluetooth, GPS and more, this mobile phone is definitely one of the best Motorola handhelds seen in a while. Apart from a large 3.7", 480 x 854 pixels touchscreen, there is a slide-out QWERTY keyboard too. The fun features include a 5MP dual-flash camera with geo-tagging, a multimedia player and a 3.5mm headphone jack. MicroSD memory expansion is supported as well.
You can get an unlocked Motorola Milestone smartphone from eXpansys for £449.99. The mobile handset is also avaiulable with T-Mobile for an 18-month contract with £35.00 a month.

The Acer A1 Liquid mobile phone is also a little beast, backed by a 768MHz Snapdragon processor. The offerings of this handset is similar to that of the Milestone, with support for 3G, WiFi, GPS, Bluetooth and microSD cards. This Acer's first tryst with Android, packs a 5MP camera, a multimedia player and a 3.5mm headphone socket as well. The major difference between these handhelds is that the Acer Liquid is a full touchscreen device, with no physical keyboard. Apart from Clove that's been retailing this smartphone at £328.9, you'll also get this gizmo at eXpansys for £339.99.
For those looking to buy a powerful high-end Android mobile phone this Xmas, these handsets could be considered.
