Motorola has been quite active in making smartphones for a while now. Their best seller for the year 2009 has been the Motorola Milestone mobile handset. And now leaked pictures and a few details of their new smartphone, the Motorola Shadow, has been spotted. This will perhaps turn out to be another top-notch seller in this year.

The initial picture of the mobile phone had its colours inverted. This has been set right by Engadget. And what can be seen in the picture looks very very interesting. There's something that's quite rare for a mobile handheld too. And that is a HDMI output! A USB port is also seen next to it.

This Motorola mobile phone is supposed to have a 4.3" touchscreen with a resolution of 850 x 484 pixels and is reported to be 9mm thick. 1080p video display is said to be possible with this device. An 8 Megapixel camera is expected to be built-in too. Guesses are that this gadget will be based on the Google Android OS.

So the Motorola Shadow mobile phone seems to be a technology-rich phone which might shadow the other smartphones that are yet to come into the market.
