The New Nokia X3 with both Touch and Key Operations
Nokia X3 Touch & TypeThe new Nokia X3 (or Nokia X3-02) is a Touch and Type mobile phone which is sleek with brushed aluminium finish and comes in five colours . This Nokia phone is really thin at just 9.6mm and weighs a lightweight 78g. and measures 104 mm x 48mm.

For the price it offers useful features. The 2.4"-240 x 320 pixel is a standard screen display. The difference is the inclusion of a touchscreen. The X3-02 looks perfectly normal but for the four-column arrangement of the keypad. It's a music phone really with dedicated music keys. The mobile phone has a basic resistive touchscreen.
Users can operate both the keypad and touchscreen. It depends on what they wish to do. Amongst touchscreen phones this is much smaller than most, aimed at rapid texters who are familiar with the traditional keyboard. It helps one handed operation.

Having a 5 megapixel camera sans the flash, with 4x digital zoom, QVGA video capture is at 20 frames per second. This 3.5G phone that supports HSPA high-speed data and also WiFi, is equipped with a multimedia player and FM radio. Although it has only 50 MB of internal memory, the microSD card slot can accept cards with memory of up to 16GB.

The notable feature about the new Nokia X3 is that this isn't a smartphone. It actually runs on a version of the familiar Series 40 operating system, instead of the Symbian. Users can have an email client, access to Facebook and Twitter, access to the Ovi Store and Instant Messaging.

Compared to the older Nokia X3, the new Nokia X3 Touch and Type is a good upgrade but resumes the candy bar design instead of slider. It's certainly a good attempt to redefine the market. This is an interesting hybrid phone from Nokia.

The Nokia X3 Touch and Type will be priced around EUR 125 or £108.
