Nokia has announced 3 new mobile hand-sets which are highly affordable - Nokia 2720 Fold Mobile Phone, Nokia 2730 Classic Phone and Nokia 7020 Mobile Phone.

Nokia 2720 Fold Mobile Phone, as the name suggests is a clamshell phone. There are 2 displays - an internal 1.8" one with a resolution of 128 x 160 pixels and an external 1.36" one with the same resolution. While the main internal monitor is a colour display, the external monitor is a monochrome display. This secondary screen lights up when the volume key on the side of the device is clicked. It mainly displays a digital clock, the operator and the signal details.

The internal memory of this mobile phone has a capacity of 32MB. There are no memory expansion slots. However, this handset does support Bluetooth. Hence, you can transfer all the extra data, like your photographs and videos, to your PC, when your phone memory falls short. Talking about photographs, this handheld has a 1.3 Megapixel camera integrated into it. Video recording is also possible with this camera phone. There is an FM radio built into this cell phone as well. You can plug in your headphone into the socket provided for listening to the music.

The Nokia 2720 Fold allows interaction with people via SMS, MMS and email. The EDGE, GSM and GPRS technologies take care of the wireless data transmission. You can also browse the web, with the HTML browser loaded on this device. Apart from all these, the regular list of schedulers and games have been installed in this mobile phone too. A reasonable good battery life is provided by the in-house battery as well.

The Nokia 2720 Fold Clamshell Mobile Phone comes in black and deep red colours. It is expected to ship during the third quarter of 2009 with a price tag of EUR 55.
