A couple of days ago, we had seen this Nokia Tough Mobile Phone being subjected to a round of merciless tests, to check its ruggedness. This handset is the Nokia 3720 Classic Mobile Phone, and it has a few specifications leaked.
With an IP rating of 54, this handheld is water proof and dust resistant. It has a built in flashlight and an FM radio. Quite an adventure partner! The 2.2” display of this cell phone has a QVGA resolution and can display 16 million colours. The internal memory has a 25MB space. A microSD card is present too for memory expansion. Bluetooth connectivity is supported. A 3.2 Megapixel camera is integrated into it as well. The S40 OS is featured by this handheld. The stand-by battery life offered is about 2.5 weeks.
After being kicked, shot with a golf club, taken on a small swim, put into a pint of beer and thrown from the top of a long ladder, the Nokia 3720 Classic Rough and Tough Phone still managed to attend calls. This mobile phone is expected to be available from September this year. However, pricing, offers and carrier details are yet to be known.
Other tough phones we recently came across are the Land Rover S1 Mobile Phone and the Samsung Solid Extreme Mobile Phone.
