Nokia 6216 Classic 2" Mobile Phone is an NFC capable phone, just like the Nokia 6212 Mobile Phone, which was released some time back. Thus, this new mobile phone will let you make wireless payments, purchase tickets, access and exchange information just by bringing the phone very close to the other NFC capable devices. A 2" screen with a resolution of 240 x 320 pixels is sported, which can display a total of 16.7 million colours. These UK mobile phones which comes in a coco pearl coloured case, has the usual nokia keypad, with volume and zoom control keys, a 5-way navigation pad and 2 soft-keys.

The user memory of this handset has a space of 22MB. There is a microSD memory card slot too, for memory expansion. A number of wireless internet access protocols are supported by this cellphone as well. These include quad band GSM, CSD, GPRS, EDGE, WCDMA(3G). With the Bluetooth compatibility of this device wireless information exchange is also made possible.

There is a 2 Megapixel camera integrated into this handset too. You can capture stills and shoot videos with this camera phone. A music player, which plays a number of audio file formats is also housed in this music phone. An FM radio is present in it as well. A 2.5mm AV connector, a 2mm DC jack and a micro USB port are all built into this handheld too.

The battery of this device gives a talktime of about 3 hours for GSM usage and about 2 hours for WCDMA usage. 300 hours of stand-by life is offered as well. The Nokia 6216 Classic NFC Mobile Phone is expected to be priced at EUR 150 and will reportedly hit the market during quarter 3 of 2009.
