Nokia 6600 Fold Clamshell Mobile Phone is a clamshell handset that is a rarity as far as Nokia's ranks are concerned. In fact, Nokia had introduced a couple of versions of the same model, a clamshell and a slide style device to be precise. Of the two, the clamshell device, which is of our immediate concern, is a mid-range quad band GSM mobile phone that comes with GPRS connectivity along with a dual band WCDMA feature.
The design of this mobile phone is something that should be applauded. The sleek back of this device sports a discrete display that comes into prominence with a double-tap on the phone. A predominant OLED display of 2.1 inch diagonal size that boasts of QVGA resolution (320 x 240 pixels) appears inside the clamshell along with a secondary camera that aids in video calling. The additional space gained due to the clamshell design of this mobile phone has enabled the designers to embed this device with an ergonomic keyboard though tending to the conventional layout. Double-tapping has more scopes here, for an alarm can be silenced or a call can be rejected this way, conveniently.
The built-in camera in this mobile phone disappoints a bit with only 2 megapixels with 8 x digital zoom and Dual LED flash to boast while its sibling the 6600 Slide mobile phone, proudly flaunts a 3.2megapixel camera. Despite this all other supporting features are more or less satisfactory. A music player that comes blessed with multi-format support and a Stereo FM radio also adorns this gsdget.
The connectivity aspects of Nokia 6600 Fold 3G Mobile Phone starts with a dual band WCDMA, followed by GPRS class 32 and Bluetooth 2.0. Wired connectivity of this device refers to a microUSB feature. Internet access and browsing are explained in this gadget by Opera web browser and Nokia Mini map and the interface here is a Series 40 OS.
