The Nokia 7230 Mobile Phone is another new slider from Nokia. An affordable handset, it offers a decent set of features and specs. This slider mobile phone comes in 2 colour schemes - graphite and pink. The face of this handset is covered by a 2.4" screen with QVGA resolution and the usual short-cut keys and navigation pad. Beneath this slider panel is housed a regular alpha-numeric keypad.
A GPRS, EDGE and 3G capable device, the Nokia 7230, allows surfing the internet at good speeds. It promises download speeds of up to 2Mbps with UMTS. A web browser and an email client are integrated within too. You can access the social networks like Facebook, Flickr and even the native Ovi store. When you're not socializing or browsing the internet, you can listen to music with this device. An FM radio and a 3.5mm headphone socket are packed in this gadget to serve this purpose. You can even capture photographs with the 3.2MP camera that comes integrated within. Nokia maps are as well supportedĀ by this handset, but not GPS.
Transferring files or images to and from this mobile phone can be done via Bluetooth. A microSD card slot is present too for both memory expansion and data sharing. A 2GB card ships in the package also.
The Series 40 based Nokia 7230 Mobile Handset offers just about 4-5 hours of talktime and about 15-16 days of stand-by time. It will be released into the market by Q1 2010. The price of this handheld is expected to be just €100.
