Nokia N97 Mobile Phone

This mobile phone has been designed with focus on Internet access and entertainment. The screen resolution offered is 360 x 640 pixels. This TFT widescreen display can show upto 16 million colours.

Taking a look at the softwares installed in this phone, it runs the S60 5th Edition, which includes a large number of applications. Data entry into the phone can be done either via the physical keyboard or the on-screen QWERTY keyboard. Full support for Ovi services and access to the Nokia Music Store are offered as well. A new feature that has been introduced in this mobile phone is the “So-Lo” feature. This is the Social Location feature that allows you to automatically update and let friends and social networks know your location. The Integrated A-GPS with compass sensor executes this task.

The device measures 117.2 x 55.3 x 15.9 mm and weighs 150g. A 5 Mega pixel camera has also been built into the phone, which uses Carl Zeiss optics and dual LED flash. The other features, connections and components included are a microUSB jack, 3.5 mm audio jack, built in stereo speakers, FM radio, FM transmitter, 32GB of internal flash memory and microSD card slot. Wi-fi, quad band GSM and Bluetooth connectivity are  supported by this phone as well. Thus, Nokia N97 Smartphone is expected to deliver a lot more than a normal mobile phone, which might make it a hit in the market this year.

This phone features the skype facility, which allows making free phone calls. However, O2 will be joining hands with Nokia for rolling out his mobile phone, which is expected to be available in June 2009.
