
Palm Pre 2 mobile phone has been promoted by the maker as the first device to hit the shelves with fresh webOS interface developed by Hewlett Packard. If everything goes fine, Palm Pre 2 will be in the UK market as early as 12 November 2010.
The fresh smartphone launched in France by wireless carrier SFR, according to Pocket-lint comes with a confirmation from HP that it would be arriving in the United Kingdom sim-free. Other webOS handsets of Palm were previously launched in the country through wireless carrier O2.
Palm Pre 2 smartphone comes powered by a 1GHz application processor, which is expected to outperform all its predecessors by a decent margin. Besides, a touchscreen display is sported by this
mobile phone, complemented by a QWERTY sliding keyboard, like its predecessor had.
Other important features faring in the specification table of Palm Pre 2 smartphone include an inbuilt digital camera of 5 MP resolution and sufficient built-in memory to satisfy the needs of any user.
Furthermore, Palm Pre 2 smartphone arrives in the United Kingdom with 3G data connectivity options, besides Bluetooth and WiFi capabilities. Another striking attraction with this smartphone is its remarkable multimedia functionality.
The fresh webOS 2.0 operating system, in its turn, packs a number of key features including extra support for messaging, email, social networking sites and more. Multitasking in its true form also gets a boost here as one can compose messages without opening an application if required.
Apart from these, webOS 2.0 also offers support for applications such as Quickoffice mobile suite, TextAssist, Facebook 2.0, Skype and Adobe Flash Player 10.1.
