Palm Pre Smartphone is reckoned by many experts as a remarkable return to form for Palm. This mobile phone is fortified by an impressive operating system that is powerful as well, 3G, GPS, a QWERTY keyboard and a 3MP integrated camera with flash support. However, the con part of this phone includes a bit fiddly interface, a comparatively small screen and thickness that exceed that of iPhone. In the contemporary smartphone market, Palm has not had many successes with any of its recent smartphone launches, meanwhile companies like Apple, Nokia, Samsung and Blackberry has apparently treaded a long way ahead with their striking smartphone models. This fact makes the launch of Palm Pre, all the more significant and decisive for Palm.
Palm Pre comes with a tremendous new operating system that can take on any other in the market. This aspect is more than complemented by a 3.1" touchscreen backed with a resolution of 480 x 320 pixels and a full QWERTY keyboard. The 3G blessing for this quadband GSM mobile phone is quiet laudable. Moreover, it also has the Wi-Fi advantage that entitles its user the access of a WiFi hotspot. The storage capacity of this smartphone is also appreciable at 8GB. This is significant as well, as many smartphones of the present tend to offer a whomping memory as good as 16GB. Data transfer in this smartphone is taken care of by Bluetooth.
Palm Pre 3G Mobile Phone presents a 3MP camera with a built-in flash, although a missing here felt is that the flash is not of the xenon type. The multimedia part is lead by a dedicate MP3 player software. The music player of this mobile phone also supports WAV, AMR and AAC files apart from MP3. The inclusion of FM radio would had been a welcome addition here, though.
